A prayer before the work begins 

Lord,
Before the work begins, we come to You.

Before decisions are made,
Before hands are busy and voices grow tired,
Before we step into rooms filled with urgency and need,
We pause to remember who goes before us.

Align our hearts with Yours.
Steady our minds with wisdom.
Strengthen our hands to serve with skill, humility, and compassion.

When the work feels heavy, remind us that we do not carry it alone.
When the answers are unclear, teach us to trust Your leading.
When exhaustion sets in, be our rest.

Let our care reflect Your love.
Let our words bring peace.
Let our presence be steady and kind.

We place this work — and ourselves — in Your hands.
Lead us, cover us, and use us as You see fit.
